The Calm Scholarship is named after my father, who was a beloved minister, educator, and mentor, Carlyle Rayford Wheeler. This scholarship seeks to recognize and empower students who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership potential, and a passion for making a difference in the field of education. Through this scholarship, we aim to inspire the next generation of educators who embody Carlyle's commitment to learning, compassion, and excellence, demonstrating calmness in the face of adversity.
The Rain Scholar
The Rain Scholarship is named after my esteemed mother, Valarie Patricia Wheeler, who excels as an educator both in and out of the classroom, known for her passion for helping others with unwavering support and nonjudgmental guidance. This scholarship is awarded to college students who demonstrate exceptional perseverance in overcoming challenges, mirroring my mother's determination to keep going and never give up.
The Weathering Minds Scholar
The Weathering Minds Scholarship supports graduate students in mental health or related fields. The foundation's mission is to empower and aid resilient and compassionate future professionals who serve individuals with expertise.
